How to Participate in the Winter Feast

Welcome to the 2014 Winter Feast for the Soul, an event that unites people worldwide in their commitment to a 40 day practice of stillness. We have just begun the Feast and it's not too late to join in! Feel free to invite your friends and family. We also have daily meditations specifically designed for young children and pre-teens/teens. Here is how to get started.

  • Please register. Click on the button that says “Sign Up” (it’s free)
  • Click on the “Meditations” link on the top bar and choose “Full Index”
  • Select a teacher or tradition you would like to follow.
  • Bookmark (mark as “Favorite”) that page, and return there each day for a new meditation. We add new meditations for each teacher daily during the Feast. (Please note that we do not send out daily reminders)

You may do your daily practice at any time of the day or night that is best for you. You may do more than one meditation per day, if you wish, and you may explore other teachers and traditions, if you wish. You are sharing your 40 day commitment with more than 20,000 people worldwide. Our meditations are available online year-round so that you can always receive inspiration as you continue your personal journey, and you can restart your 40 days at any time during the year.

If you have any problems with or questions about our web site, contact our webmaster. If you need help with a particular teacher or have questions about meditation in general, contact Kaye, or go to our Facebook Meditation Coaching & Support discussion group and open a discussion there.

Recent Interviews

Interview with Davidji – January 2014

Many of you have asked about Davidji's availability in 2014. Unfortunately, his recent travel schedule has prevented him from recording a new series of 40 meditations for Winter Feast for the Soul this year. We are pleased to reprise his 2013 series, though, and look forward to his return to the Feast next year. Valerie Skonie was able to interview the Vedic scholar, meditation teacher and author on New Year’s Eve to give his many followers an update on what is happening with him today. This personal conversation will lead you down many paths, including why Davidji loves the Winter Feast and its format for meditation, and why 40 days has far more impact than the 21 day format. Davidji tells about his career transition from Wall Street to spiritual teacher just 13 years ago, the use of mantra -- and more. His latest book Secrets of Meditation is widely available. You can listen to the full interview here:

Interview with Don Kollmar – December 2013

Don Kollmar lives in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Originally from Buffalo, New York, he has been a holistic therapist since 1975 in Toronto, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City. Don has led seminars, weekend workshops, one day workshops, six day intensives and teacher training thoughout the United States and Europe for over 35 years.

Don's work emphasizes living as a Soul that has a person. His mission is to facilitate the emergence of Soul through the person, so that we live with our spiritual and personal aspects co-existing in Wholeness. To live as Soul, one must learn its language of sensing. Through the language of sensing, it is possible to experience an entirely new relationship with the inherent aliveness of stillness that we seek in meditation. In this interview, Don discusses the meditation process used in his programs, and explains the method of deepening the meditation experience that he is offering now for the 2014 Winter Feast. Listen for free! This 50 minute interview by Valerie Skonie, founder of Winter Feast for the Soul, is available here.

Try Our NEW Meditation Index

Last fall we conducted research that showed most of you want a simpler way to access our online meditations. On November 15 we launched a big enhancement to our web site – a Meditations Master Index. Click on Meditations in the top navigation bar to find all of our current and past meditations by teacher or by tradition. Now it’s possible to see in one place all the meditations of each individual teacher, or to find all the meditations available in a particular religion, spiritual tradition or language. There is a new non-English section, where we grouped meditations from all non-English languages in one place. We think you will find this Index a big improvement, and it will be easier to get to the new meditations each day.
