This meditation is led by Sarah McLean, director and founder of the Sedona Meditation Training Company. Opening with a poem of Rumi's and a prayer of gratitude, she'll sweetly guide you into stillness, present moment awareness, and into an opening of the heart.

James O'Dea (jamesodea.com) visited Sun Valley Idaho on January 9 and 10 to help launch the 2010 WInter Feast for the Soul. On Friday evening he spoke of Stress and Spiritual Practice: Meet Your Greatest Teacher. On Sunday morning he gave a 20 minute sermon at the Light on the Mountains Spiritual Center titled: "You Were Born for a Time Such As This". This was followed by a three hour workshop tItled "Distinguishing Authentic Guidance from Ego's Fantasies". The workshop covers layers of ignorance which prevent us from recognizing authentic guidance followed by a discussion of the art of deep listening. All are found in the series recorded here.

Each day we will have a 40 minute period of Insight Meditation practice, beginning with a 10-15 minute talk and followed by a period of silent meditation.

New Thought is a spiritual path that teaches oneness with Spirit and that our thoughts and beliefs create our experiences. Six weeks of daily meditations will be presented that are preceded by short ons in this philosophy. The series will be coordinated by Rev. John Moreland; other facilitators will be the Revs. Marty Bacher, Elizabeth O'Day, Celeste Frazier, Alice Bandy and Petra Weldes.

In this retreat we will use lectio divina, apophatic prayer of presence (similar to centering prayer), chant, the Jesus prayer, the rosary, mantra prayer and meditative walking. Each session will encorporate at least 20 minutes of silence.

Susan Kaiser Greenland, author of The Mindful Child, will lead a daily guided mindful awareness practice suitable for young children and their caregivers during the Feast, each mindfulness practice is between 4 - 5 minutes in duration. Meditations 1 - 10 focus on breath awareness and compassion practices. Meditations 11 - 20 focus on sensory awareness and compassion practices. Meditations 21 - 30 focus on awareness of thoughts and emotions and compassion practices. Meditations 31 - 40 focus on awareness of interconnection and compassion practices.

David is a spiritual teacher with students and friends scattered throughout the world and offers teachings in Universal Meditation , a form of guided meditation that is easily accessible and successfully practiced by many people in different countries. He travels extensively and continually, teaching meditation, peace building, inter-spiritual harmony and inner practice. David has had the good fortune to study with real teachers of many different traditions and therefore his teaching is not limited by form and concept and yet still retains the inheritance of previous lineages. Beginning to travel the spiritual path forty years ago, he says he is beginning to get the hang of it. David is also involved in the difficult task of bringing peace to the holy land by promoting the use of religion as a force for peace. He is founding member of the Abrahamic Reunion, a group of spiritual peacemakers from the four central faiths of the holy land. He is currently the head of the Universal Worship founded in Paris in 1920. The Universal Worship is an interfaith organization which offers worship of all the religions and scriptures of the world simultaneously on the same altar.

Anam Thubten, author of 'No Self, No Problem' will each day for the next 40 days offer a 40-minute meditation practice including a 10-15 minute talk, after which you are encouraged to continue meditating for 30 minutes on your own.

Susan Kaiser Greenland, author of The Mindful Child, will lead a daily guided mindful awareness practice for older children and teens during the Feast, each guided mindfulness practice is between 10-15 minutes in duration.
