Companions for the Silent Journey

Companions for the Silent Journey was founded in 2008 after reflection on our participation in a contemplative prayer group, called the “Sophia Group” and our desire to share this spiritual richness with others. Our goal is to promote the exchange of spiritual wisdom gleaned through the Christian contemplative perspective, to be companions for the silent spiritual journey. Our vision is to create a “monastery without walls” or a spiritual space without physical place. Our dream is that we can extend this project to encourage and motivate other groups to take their contemplative experience and engage in greater social outreach, so as to build up the kingdom of God. Any profits gained through Companions for the Silent Journey will be used to foster growth in Christian contemplative communities. Business partners, Carrie Kelley and Jim Graven are founders of this beautiful project.
